5.20.13

A little over two months & it still hasn't set in...

On Monday, May 20th, 2013 an EF-5 tornado came through Moore, OK.  A place I call home.

No words can describe the amount of devastation.  The images floating around just doesn't even come close. Jed & I along with a circulating group of friends -- we even picked up some strangers -- spent about a week volunteering at ground zero.  I prepared as much as I could with safety gear & even carried a backpack with some additional supplies, but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw.  My heart was heavy while helping families sift through their personal belongings.  Some were looking for small items but had immense sentimental value.  While others just wanted to clear what was left of their house so they could start over.  It was unreal.  We spent hours upon hours volunteering doing hard labor.  When we were done for the day we'd walked away feeling accomplished; tired, but accomplished.  However, that feeling was quickly stripped when we realized that still wasn't enough.

I know it will take months before things are somewhat back to normal.  I know there has been a tremendous outpour of support, prayers, & donations from all around the world.  I know that Moore will rebuild.

If you would like to help me raise $2,500 to help aid the Oklahoma Tornado Relief Fund, please go to Facebook & pre-order an ORF tee.  All proceeds will go to families affected by the tornadoes that ripped through Oklahoma in May.

Thank you in advance for your support & together we can make a difference.

New [Possible] Thunder Gear!

I have been debating since last season whether or not to come up with new Thunder designs.  It is so saturated & a LOT of the same.  I'm not cool with people ripping off other's ideas, or tweaking it slightly & claiming it as an organic idea that so-&-so came up with.  That's just lame.  If you're in this business you ought to be able to come up with your own ideas or hire someone that can.

<<<end rant>>>

Anyhow, here are two concepts I've come up with & would like some feedback.  Like it?  Hate it? Love it? Here's your opportunity to let me know.

I'm still playing around with colors on this one.  But you get the idea.
This second design was a concept thrown at me by my friend Ryan.  We dig it.  Do you?

Yes, that is an actual sound-wave of thunder striking.

I'd like to bring these babies to life.  Any feedback [keep it encouraging, please] is appreciated!

a shout out to 2013 & you

How does that phrase go..."a new year, a new you?"  Well, no new me but I certainly have new ideas for the new year!

I have been working on ways to make MTMD, LLC & c. taylor-made [prints] bigger & better all around.  I have been brainstorming & things are a brewin'!!  I don't want to spill the beans, yet.  But soon enough, if everything continues to go as plan -- we all know how that goes -- then soon enough I'll share with you.

I want to thank those who have supported me from day one & continue to do so.  I'm not sure what the future holds but I can only hope that the support continues to grow.  I am more than "someone who makes t-shirts."  I have a knack to bring ideas to life. I may not always succeed in execution (the first time) but I'm never afraid to try.  With that said, THANK YOU!!  Thank you to those who've purchased a shirt or custom print from me.  Thank you to the people who've asked me to make their party invitations &/or party decor.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me the opportunity to try.  I can only hope that I'm one of the people you think of when you need help bringing an idea to life.  Even though I know Pinterest is probably your first source.  Nonetheless, I appreciate you.

Much love,

"Attention KMART Lovers"

The beloved Kevin Martin of OKC Thunder deserves a round of applause!  He's been a great addition to the team & I can't help but love him.  Partly because he reminds me of Thabo Sefolosha - yum.

Anyhow,  I present to you the next design, which can be printed on various styles of tops.  For example, short sleeve tees, long sleeve tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, pullovers, etc.  You get the idea.

And here are some digital examples to give you an idea of what this design would look like on a couple of different styles.

So there you have it.  If you would like to inquire more about this design, please email me with all your questions!

Thanks guys!

so fresh & so updated

After several weeks of glitches & a few correspondences with the web-host people... I finally got this thing updated.  Not much has changed, but I hope it's more appealing.

Thanks to those who continue to support me.  This journey has been anything but easy & I wouldn't trade the opportunities I've been given for anything in the world.  Well, almost anything.

Much, much appreciation & love!
